Thank you to all our visitors over the years, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with you in one of the most beautiful settings in the world. The owner is retiring this year and has closed Fun-A-Float Boat Rentals. So, we unfortunatley are not able to provide any boat rental services for the 2007 season. Boarding begins after 6 PM or earlier, when we have boats returned before 3 PM and prepped (cleaned, etc.). BENEFITS for you and your family: Houseboats make inexpensive hotel rooms for multiple families or groups All your paper work is completed if you arrive at our Portland office before 6 PM You have the evening to relax, stow away all gear and organize your boat before morning departure You have a chance to familiarize yourselves with all aspects of the boat before orientation and Captain Lesson in morning Gives Early Boarders priority departures from our dock in the morning if desired - starting at 9 AM An extra evening on the water to have a BBQ or just relax and enjoy the sunset Extends your boating holiday by nearly a full day Houseboat Rental Policy Reservation Policies: Reservations are confirmed upon the return of your 50% deposit and our "Reservation Form" that we will fax to you for completion (please send us your fax number). Please note that your deposit on this form is a non-refundable deposit. 75 days before your departure date, we will forward to you your confirmation/contract which will include a summary of charter charges, extra charges for any additional services you may have requested (Example: Early Board or Damage Waiver), including applicable taxes, as well as the date your final payment is due. *** No reservations to people under 25 years of age. *** No pets allowed. Charter Payment: The reservation deposit is applied to the cost of the charter. The balance of the charter fee is due and payable forty five (45) days prior to departure. This is non-refundable. Charter fees: Charter Fees are determined as follows: a. applicable season tariff, plus b. early board fees (when applicable), plus c. $35 per day damage waiver surcharge (see below), plus d. applicable taxes Damage Waiver: Fun-A-Float carries insurance covering the charter boat. Should physical damages occur you will be responsible for paying up to the first $2,500 (insurance deductible) of any loss. This liability can be reduced to the first $500 of any loss for a surcharge of $35 per day. Fun-A-Float strongly recommends purchase of the physical damage liability buy-down. You may elect to eliminate the damage waiver surcharge by placing $2,500 (in the form of Visa or MasterCard) on account at the marina. Any damages will be charged against this account and the balance refunded upon return of the boat. Security Deposit: An $800 security deposit is required prior to boarding and will be applied to the following outstanding charges: damage to the propeller or outdrive; lost, broken or damaged inventory items; late returns; excessively unclean boats; or any damage resulting from negligent or irresponsible operation of, or activity on, the houseboat.
